September 16 Favourite Movies So, we all have them. Those movies we could watch over and over and over again. For some of us it's a romantic tear jerker, for others it's a suspenseful adventure that keeps us at the edge of our seat, and for others its a comedy that has us laughing until tears are running down our cheeks.
At the end of this month I will be going on a nice mini 5 day vacation with my mom & youngest sister. For the 4th year in a row we will be attending a stitching and jewelry making convention in Hershey, PA. We always have such a wonderful time! There are loads of new things to learn, lots of laughter, lots of hot cocoa and other yummy chocolate temptations and even more special, a chance for us to bond .. especially my youngest sister and I as we don't see each other too often and don't always have too much in common. This gives us a chance to act like kids again. We play all our old favourite songs in the car, stop at a diner we've been going to since we were kids, tease each other, play a few practical jokes ... it's great! LOL Another thing we all look forward to, besides room service each morning, is that we give ourselves an afternoon of pampering at the local spa. We already have our afternoon of spa services reserved complete with a lovely lunch and time in the aroma-therapy room. I can't wait!!
My sister and mom both go for the cross stitch and embroidery classes. I go for the jewelry making classes. Unfortunetly the three classes I had signed up for have been canceled due to the instructers ill health. Am I canceling? OH NO! Far be it! I have decided this would be a wonderful chance for me to get away and spend some quality "me" time catching up on movies, reading a few good books, all the while sitting by the fireplace drinking hot cocoa (and you have not had hot chocolate until you've had it made in Hershey!).
My only problem now is what ones, that I haven't seen, should I take along with me? That is where I'm looking to my blog friends for some help ... I would love it if anyone who wanted to would leave me a comment telling me what their favourite movie or movies are ... What should I take along with me at the end of this month?
I love all types .. romantic, comedy, suspense ...
Some of my favourites (so you know the ones I like to watch over and over and over again) are:
While you were sleeping
Almost Heaven
13 going on 30
Thomas Crowne affair
Sleepless in Seattle
Die Hard (1 & 2)
Lethel Weapon (all!)
Enemy of the State (have to see this each time its on the telly! lol)
50 1st Dates
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (even my 7 yr old loves this one)
Four Brothers
Unbreakable (love this one because I didn't see the ending coming - it actually surprised me!)
Ok, your turn ... what movies would you suggest I take along with me to make me shed a few tears, laugh until my sides hurt, and/or be glued to the edge of my seat?
